Is the Quraan Speech or Duaa? |
Question: Is the Quraan Speech or is it du’aa (supplication) as some of the people say? |
Answer: The Quraan is the Speech of Allaah; Jibreel alaiyhisalaam heard it from the Lord of all the Creation, and he descended with it upon Muhammad sal Allaahu alaiyhi wa sallam and he recited it upon him. And it contains supplications: Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate (from the Truth) after You have guided us and grant us mercy from You. Indeed you are Al Wahhaab (the Bestower). Surah aale 'Imraan (3) aayah 8 And it is an aayah from the speech of Allaah ta’aala. And with Allaah is the tawfeeq. And may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
