There is no screen between his invocation and Allaah

Narrated Ibn Abbas (Radi Allaahu anhu): The Prophet (SalAllaahu alaihe wa sallam) sent Mu'adh to Yemen and said, "Be afraid, from the curse of the oppressed as there is no screen between his invocation and Allaah." {1}  [Sahih Al Bukhari #2448]

----------------------------------------------------------------
{1} Allaah will respond to his invocation and punish the oppressor sooner or later. (Qastalani)

  3. ßÊÇÈ ÇáÒßÇÉ (The Book of Obligatory Charity)
    No. 1411 - Narrated Abu Ma'bad:

(The slave of Ibn Abbas) Allah's Apostle said to Muadh when he sent him to Yemen, "You will go to the people of the Scripture. So, when you reach there, invite them to testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and that Muhammad is His Apostle. And if they obey you in that, tell them that Allah has enjoined on them five prayers in each day and night. And if they obey you in that tell them that Allah has made it obligatory on them to pay the Zakat which will be taken from the rich among them and given to the poor among them. If they obey you in that, then avoid taking the best of their possessions, and be afraid of the curse of an oppressed person because there is no screen between his invocation and Allah."

  4. Another narration:

ßÊÇÈ ÇáãÛÇÒí (The Book of Military Expeditions)
No. 4033 - Narrated Ibn Abbas:

Allah's Apostle said to Muadh bin Jabal when he sent him to Yemen. "You will come to the people of Scripture, and when you reach them, invite them to testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah and that Muhammad is His Apostle. And if they obey you in that, then tell them that Allah has enjoined on them five prayers to be performed every day and night. And if they obey you in that, then tell them that Allah has enjoined on them Sadaqa (i.e. Rakat) to be taken from the rich amongst them and given to the poor amongst them. And if they obey you in that, then be cautious! Don't take their best properties (as Zakat) and be afraid of the curse of an oppressed person as there is no screen between his invocation and Allah."

  9. Alhamdulillaah akhi. I'm glad you were able to make better sense of the narration. It may have also helped if I added that the narration came from volume 3 of Sahih Al Bukhari, The book of Al-Mazalim (The Oppressions), which may have brought you to the conclusion of the narration pointing out (oppression), there being no screen between your invocation and Allaah from your oppressors as Allaah is Al-Musta'an (The One Who is called upon for help). I do apologize for not adding that. May Allaah increase us in beneficial knowledge, Aameen.

The fatwa is about taking pictures but as far as my profile pic is concerned it has already been taken!

I'm just kidding....you'll see a better picture replacing that head insha Allah! I need to be careful not to become a source of fitna for others...

Salaam, and once again, Jazakillah khair for correcting me.
